In a world that moves fast and often feels uncertain, character remains a timeless anchor. My latest piece, A Daily Dose of Character, is a visual reflection and gentle reminder of the values that shape us, guide us, and connect us to one another.
The work presents 49 simple but powerful virtues, each a single action or mindset we can strive to embody every day. From Be Kind and Be Brave to Be Humble and Be Creative, each square offers a moment of reflection and an invitation to live with intention.
Inspired by the quote from Marcus Aurelius, “Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.” this piece isn’t just art – it’s a compass. A grid of character traits, each paired with a brief call to action, it’s designed to be both meditative and motivational.
Whether you use it as a daily reminder, an educational tool, or a source of personal inspiration, A Daily Dose of Character invites you to pause, reflect, and grow – one day, one trait at a time.
What character trait are you going to champion today?
Public exhibition (an update)
On Wednesday, 8 July 2026, the Wilson Museum and Art Gallery in Cheltenham kindly agreed to exhibit my piece on the ground floor of the museum until the end of July.
The installation includes 49 miniature medicine bottles, each containing one of the character traits from the original poster. Together, they represent the idea of taking a daily dose of the qualities contained within each bottle.
If you’re in or around Cheltenham this July, I’d love for you to visit the Wilson Museum and Art Gallery, not only to see my installation, but also to enjoy the wonderful collections and exhibitions on display.
