Proposal for the creation of a Ministry of Government Efficiency (MOGE)

As Nigeria navigates the complexities and challenges of governance, it has become increasingly clear that one of the most pressing needs is the enhancement of efficiency across all levels of government. To this end, I humbly propose the establishment of a Ministry of Government Efficiency (MOGE).

The vision and mission of MOGE

The Ministry of Government Efficiency would serve as a dedicated body tasked with the continuous improvement of government operations, processes, and outcomes. Its mission would be to ensure that every government ministry operates at peak efficiency, delivering services and executing projects with the utmost effectiveness, transparency, and accountability. The proposed motto for MOGE, “Here to make government better for the people,” encapsulates this mission and aligns it with the core values of public service.

Benefits of the Ministry of Government Efficiency

1. Higher productivity:
   The MOGE would drive productivity by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks within government processes. By streamlining operations and promoting the adoption of best practices, MOGE would enable civil servants to work more efficiently, thereby increasing the overall output and effectiveness of the government.
