This year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the annual trade show in Las Vegas, felt notably underwhelming, at least based on the products recognised by The Verge’s #CES2026 awards. From everything I’ve read, heard, and seen, it seems that the overwhelming focus on AI ultimately drained the show of its impact.
